Every week since the beginning of the school year we have been practising 9-10 words of the week. These are high-frequency words students are expected to be able to recognize and read automatically.
Each week these words have been on our weekly/monthly homework sheet and on the Reading Support page of the blog, where we have recorded ourselves reading the words.
Below are the full lists of high-frequency for both grade levels. These complete lists can also be found on the Reading Support page of the blog.

Grade 1 High-Frequency Words
These are words the students learned in grade 1. Both grade 2 and 3 students should be able to recognize and read all of these words.
Grade 2 High-Frequency Words
These are words are words grade 3 students should be able to recognize and read. Grade 2 students should be able to recognize and read all these words by March 27th.
