Au revoir, 3 FI!

Today is the last day of school for the students in 3 FI. It has been a very unique year, full of many challenges. But we have persevered! I have truly enjoyed watching you continue to develop your French skills. You have accomplished so much and I am  so proud of you. It has been a pleasure teaching you and I will miss you so much.

Thank you for the wonderful memories! :-) :-) :-)

Bonne chance l’année prochaine en 4e année!

LAST GRADUATION OF THE YEAR!

Monday morning we held our FINAL graduation of the year. We graduated the  -tion sound, ten sight words (bientôt, chacun, chacune, dire, nos, notre, peut-être, tu as, tu as, vouloir) and a reading strategy (jump the word come back and reread).

Instead of having one student as master of ceremonies, ALL students participated in the final graduation.

Everyone did a wonderful job! Check it out:

Field Trip # 2!

Today, 3 FI went on our second field trip.

We spent an hour at the FIELD HOUSE!

At the field house, students were able to play on scooters, jump around in a bouncy castle, do some hula hooping and play sports like ping pong and badminton. We had so much fun!

Check out the video below to see 3 FI having some field house fun! 🙂

HAPPY STUDENT APPRECIATION DAY TO THE FANTASTIC STUDENTS IN 3 FI!!!

Yesterday was a wild day of extra breaks, certificate passing and Magic School Bus episodes. I’m exhausted! 😀

To celebrate my super fantastic students, I created this video of most of our videos from throughout the year. It’s a long one, so get comfy! 😉

3 FI…

I appreciate you

Legauled

Last Friday, Mrs. Black and Mrs. McBride came to 3 FI to teach how to make First Nations bread, which is called Legauled.

Students had a lot of fun mixing the ingredients, but I think they had more fun tasting the final product. 🙂

A great big ‘THANK YOU’ to Mrs. Black and Mrs. McBride! 🙂

Field Trip!

Friday, the students in 3 FI and I ventured into the great outdoors. 🙂

We went on our FIRST field trip of the year to one of our local trails.

We saw trees, poison ivy, squirrels, streams and other interesting sights in the forest.

Students asked many questions during the trip and made some great observations.

It wasn’t hot and the bugs weren’t too bad! 😉

Dandelion Fluff Art

Friday we created dandelion art pieces in 3 FI!

We have talked a lot about parts of a plant during our science lessons, specifically with dandelions and their seeds.

Students used oil pastels to draw the stem, center and seeds of a dandelion. Then they used watercolors to create the background. They turned out beautifully, with a hint of a tie dye look about them. 🙂
