Ensemble, nous sommes… 3 FI!

We spent many lessons this past year discussing what makes us unique. Many of our French lessons were about discussing things that make us unique, like our eye color, hair color and birthdays.

We also spent time talking about how being different is okay, because we all have different interests and that is what makes us who we are.

This are the last group of students that will begin French Immersion at grade 3. Mlle Nicholson and I believe this is what makes this particular group of students very unique. They started the year in English, unable to converse in French. Now, after almost ten months of grade 3, they can speak, read and write in French. We could not be more proud of them.

Last Friday we did a simple art activity. We gave them a small puzzle piece. We asked them to color, draw and/or represent themselves on their piece. After thirty minutes, we assembled the pieces on a bulletin board.

Although it was one of the simplest art activities we have completed this year, it is very symbolic of who we are.
