Last Friday the students in 3 FI created art for Remembrance Day.

In class we have been working on specific Remembrance Day vocabulary so students will be able to bring home and practice a booklet we have been working on .

One of the vocabulary words we had been working on was coquelicot which means “poppy”.

Students used paint to create a field of poppies. The poppies near the bottom of the page were larger while the poppies towards the middle of the page were smaller. Students painted their poppies in this way to create depth and perspective.

They did a great job and we are very proud of them. Their artwork was hung in the gym for the Remembrance Day ceremony this morning.
